Birthday Gift was Healthy Life

Organ transplants were performed one after the other at Izmir Dokuz Eylul University Hospital. The liver of 39-year-old Abdullah Kaçar, who had a traffic accident in Nazilli district of Aydın province, was transplanted to 26-year-old Rıdvan Korkmaz and his heart to 28-year-old Bahar Yıldız.

Both of them came back to life from the brink of death. The joy of Korkmaz, who had Wilson's cirrhosis and whose liver had failed because of this, was different. Because he went under the knife on his birthday.
The young man, who learnt that the organ that would restore his health was donated on the day he turned a new age and was immediately operated on, held on to life tightly. Rıdvan Korkmaz, who started a brand new life, said that he received the best birthday present and expressed his joy in the following words:

He was waiting for this moment
"I have been waiting for this moment with hope for a year. Fortunately, the bad days are over. Now I am very happy. I want to meet and thank the family of Abdullah Kaçar, who donated the organs of Abdullah Kaçar, who gave me life."

He got a new heart while hopes were running out
Bahar Yıldız, 28, who shared the organs of Abdullah Kaçar from Aydın with Rıdvan Korkmaz, is now happy... Yıldız, who had been waiting for a heart transplant for a while and whose condition worsened last week, found life when hopes were running out. The young woman said she felt like she was reborn. Her doctor Prof. Öztekin Oto said, "We were preparing to implant an artificial heart as a last resort. She is doing well now."
